Celebrating 100 years of the Weaverham Rose Fete
What an honour to lead the fabulous 100th Weaverham Rose Fete procession around the village of Weaverham in an open-topped white BMW and then crown the new Rose Queen, Violet Williams!
Many congratulations to all the young people taking part, who looked stunning in their beautiful outfits. On behalf of the hundreds of people who attended, many thanks to the organising committee led by Barbara Eames and local councillor Gillian Edwards. It’s brilliant to continue with these wonderful historic traditions which generate incredible community spirit.
