Launching my High Sheriff Big Charity Fundraiser – Race Across the Roodee (Saturday 26 September)

Calling on Cheshire families, friends and workplace teams to join a fun, sponsored walk for a powerful cause. My charity fundraiser ‘Race Across the Roodee takes place on Saturday, 26th September, 11am, at the iconic Chester Racecourse.

Families (including children and grandparents), community groups, and workplace teams are invited to walk five laps (5 miles) of the racecourse together, solving challenges along the way, in support of local families.

All funds raised will be distributed by Cheshire Community Foundation to support the Thriving Families programme, providing essential services like mentoring, parenting support, mental health assistance, and early intervention programmes that help families stay strong and resilient.

We know that if children have happy and supportive families, they are more likely to succeed later in life. So, helping struggling families helps us all and the earlier we can offer that support, the better.

The fundraising goal for this year’s event is £30,000, and participants are encouraged to set personal fundraising targets or sign up as teams to multiply their impact. It’s a chance to have fun while supporting a vital cause.

Dogs are welcome too!
