Congratulations to Cheshire Literature Prize Winners
As a fellow wordsmith, I was delighted to be invited by the University of Chester to present prizes to winners of the prestigious Cheshire Prize for Literature.
A packed audience at the university was entertained by a speech from author and publisher Ele Fountain, before winning adult and children were announced in a variety of writing categories including poetry, short story, flash fiction and scriptwriting.
The awards were launched in 2003 by a previous High Sheriff John Richards, so it was wonderful to maintain this connection and present this year’s prizes.
