Finding a new Passion for Learning at Careers Carnival
Hundreds of Cheshire school children had their eyes opened to a huge range of exciting career opportunities at a fantastic Careers Carnival, organised by Passion for Learning at Cheshire View Hotel, near Chester.
CEO Steve Finch and his band of devoted staff and volunteers attracted lots of local businesses to inspire youngsters to explore future opportunities in science, engineering, veterinary etc. at top county employers like Sci Tech Daresbury.
“Are you Queen Elizabeth?” asked one of the young lads, as I was walked around the site in my High Sheriff blue velvet suit. Sadly, I had to confess, I wasn’t – but it’s always nice to think you make people feel special just by turning up!!
Passion for Learning is unfortunately facing a funding crisis – so the 2026 Careers Carnival may be its last. Let’s hope not.
